Beware the Register
Wondered why my otherwise nippy PC was grinding to a halt. Turned out I had this page of the Register open in a background window. Its flashy Flash graphics for mobile phone ads and the like were sucking up over 95% of my CPU. When I quit it, browser CPU dropped to nearly 0. Think I’ll be steering clear of that in future.
